Bradley Cooper is in negotiations to star alongside Margot Robbie in Warner Bros.’ upcoming Ocean’s Eleven prequel, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.
The film will be directed by Lee Isaac Chung, the
acclaimed filmmaker behind Twisters and Minari, and produced by
Robbie’s LuckyChap Entertainment.
Plot specifics remain under wraps, but Carrie Solomon
penned the script. When the project was first announced in 2022, it was
described as a reimagined Ocean’s story set in Europe during the
1960s. At one stage, Robbie’s Barbie co-star Ryan Gosling had
been attached to the film.
The Ocean’s franchise remains one of Warner Bros.’
most successful series, collectively grossing over $1.4 billion at the
global box office. Ocean’s Thirteen, the last entry featuring George
Clooney and Brad Pitt, debuted in 2007, while the female-led Ocean’s
8 hit theaters in 2018 and earned nearly $300 million worldwide.
In addition to the prequel, Clooney and Pitt are reuniting
for Ocean’s 14, directed by The Fall Guy’s David Leitch.
Cooper, represented by Range Media, will next appear in and
direct Searchlight’s upcoming film Is This Thing On?
