Chris Hemsworth and Halle Berry are teaming up to pull off a daring heist — and outsmart Mark Ruffalo — in the latest trailer for Crime 101.

Amazon MGM Studios dropped the new preview on Thursday, offering a glimpse into Bart Layton’s upcoming crime thriller. The film follows Davis (Hemsworth), a skilled and elusive thief planning one last big job. Along the way, he meets Sharon (Berry), an insurance broker who decides to partner with him for the ultimate score. Meanwhile, Detective Lou Lubesnick (Ruffalo) is hot on their trail, determined to bring their multi-million-dollar crime spree to an end.

The movie also stars Barry Keoghan, Monica Barbaro, Corey Hawkins, Jennifer Jason Leigh, and Nick Nolte.

The trailer opens with Davis and Sharon meeting at a valet stand, where she jokes about wanting to join his “line of work.” Quick cuts then reveal Davis behind the wheel in a mask, gun in hand. Later, over dinner, Sharon tells him he seems like “a man with secrets” — stylish on the outside but unable to meet her gaze.

Detective Lou, leading the investigation, tells his team he’s been tracking a series of jewel and cash robberies over the past four years — all seemingly committed by the same thief along California’s 101 freeway.

As Davis convinces Sharon to help him pull off a heist targeting her own company, she agrees — but only if she gets $3 million of the $11 million take. While Davis chases the thrill of one final job, Lou starts noticing a clear “pattern” behind the crimes.

The two men eventually come face to face when Lou hitches a ride with Davis, sparking a tense exchange filled with suspicion. Lou mentions The Thomas Crown Affair — a classic about a refined thief — hinting that he might suspect more than he lets on.

The trailer ends with Sharon challenging Davis, saying he’s breaking “every rule” he’s lived by. He replies, “There comes a moment when you realize you don’t have as much time as you thought you had.”

At CinemaCon in April, Hemsworth, Berry, and Layton discussed the project, with Hemsworth describing it as “a uniquely mesmerizing film that pulls you in and keeps you guessing until the very last second.”

Crime 101 opens in theaters on February 13.
