Oscar-nominated film producer Jennifer Fox will return to produce the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ 2025 Governors Awards, Academy President Lynette Howell Taylor announced on Tuesday. This marks the seventh time Fox has taken the helm for the prestigious event, having previously produced the 10th through 15th editions.
The ceremony is set to take place on Sunday, November 16, at
the Ray Dolby Ballroom at Ovation Hollywood. Four iconic figures in the
entertainment industry will be honored: Debbie Allen, Tom Cruise, and Wynn
Thomas will receive Honorary Awards, while Dolly Parton will be presented with
the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award, which she will accept remotely from
Nashville.
“Jennifer’s expertise in producing the Governors Awards is
unmatched,” said Howell Taylor. “We’re excited to have her back as we kick off
the 98th Oscars season by celebrating four extraordinary honorees.”
Fox added, “It’s always an honor to produce this joyful and
prestigious Academy event. I’m excited to help recognize the remarkable
achievements of Debbie Allen, Tom Cruise, Dolly Parton, and Wynn Thomas.”
